Round Two of the Cowra Community Grants Program 2018–19 opens 1 February 2019 and closes 28 February 2019.
Applicants will be notified of the results by 29 March 2019.
Are you a community group with a worthwhile project? Need new equipment or improvements to a garden or building? Then Cowra Council's Community Grants Program may be for you!
The next round of Cowra Council's Community Grants Program is now open, with eligible community groups having until Friday 29 March 2019 to lodge applications.
Applications for projects such as community gardens, environmental education, the construction of garden beds and re-vegetation are encouraged under the Natural Resource Management category which provides up to $1000 per grant.
Other categories available to apply for include:
- Sport and Recreation - Up to $1000
- Arts and Culture - Up to $1000
- Small Capital Equipment - Up to $1000
- Building and Facility Development - Up to $2000
In the last round of the program, a total of 14 local groups were presented with cheques ranging from $215–$2000 for projects including building, restoring, painting, sporting equipment, and the purchase of a defibrillator.
Groups applying must be not-for-profit, primarily volunteer run and based in Cowra Shire. Projects must also directly benefit the local community.
Applicants that were successful in the most recent round of the Community Grants Program are able to apply again under this round, provided they have submitted their acquittal report.
