Waste 2 Art Competition 2026

We are running the annual Waste 2 Art competition and exhibition as part of the NetWaste Waste 2 Art project in May.

The theme is Shrink Your Footprint (entries must fit into a shoe or boot box)

Any Cowra LGA resident is eligible to enter.

The exhibition will be held in the Library (and the Council foyer as a back up if we need more room).

It is free to enter.

Categories:

Primary School age (currently in primary school)

3D ($100 for winner)

2D ($100 for winner)

Functional ($100 for winner)

Secondary school age (currently in secondary school)

3D ($100 for winner)

Functional ($100 for winner)

Community:

Anyone except artists or previous winners.

Plus $500 for overall winner and $200 people’s choice award.

Entry drop off 4^th May 2026 between 9-12noon at the Central West Library Cowra

Judging 4^th May 2026 at 3pm (judges to be advised)

Exhibition runs from 5-9^th May 2026

Entries to be collected on 10^th May 2026

Winners will also be eligible to be sent to the regional exhibition in Broken Hill ($11,500 in prize money).
