Village Waste Transfer Stations

Cowra Council operates two village waste transfer stations for residents who live outside the residential waste collection area and do not receive garbage or recycling bin services. Local village residents may also use these transfer stations.

Domestic (residential) loads of recycling (co-mingled recycling including paper, cardboard, empty plastic and glass bottles, cans etc), domestic waste (residential garbage, garden and green waste) and small loads of scrap metals can be dropped off at Woodstock and Gooloogong transfer stations open at the following times.

  • Noyeau Street, Woodstock 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month (excluding public holidays) – 8:30am-11:30am
  • Warraderry Way, Gooloogong 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month (excluding public holidays) – 1:00pm-3:30pm

  • mattresses
  • tyres 
  • multiple loads

Load limits apply - All loads that are in excess of the limits or contain items not accepted at the transfer stations will be diverted to Cowra MRF.

The acceptance of waste and recycling is at the discretion of the attendant.
