2025 World Peace Day in Cowra

World Peace Day in Cowra is celebrated annually each September, to coincide with the United Nations International Day of Peace.

The theme for this year’s International Day of Peace is Act Now for a Peaceful World.

Cowra’s Peace Day Program will be held this year on Thursday 18 September 2025 and includes:

• Cowra Community World Peace Bell Ceremony 

  12.30pm, Cowra Civic Square, Darling Street

• Cowra Youth Peace Forum - with Guest Speaker, Ruby Riethmuller, Deputy Commissioner of the Mental Health Commission of NSW and the Founder and CEO of Womn-Kind

  9.15am-2.45pm, Cowra Civic Centre 

• Rotary Club of Cowra World Peace Day Dinner

  The evening includes the presentation of the 2025 Rotary Peace Award and the 2025 Cowra Youth Peace Award.

Alongside this year’s exciting program of events, Cowra Council is collaborating with the Cowra Youth Council and World Peace Bell Association to hold a Peace Day Theatre Skit for school students. You can register for the competition here:
