NSW Youth Week is an opportunity for young people across NSW to come together in their local communities.
NSW Youth Week 2026 will run from 16 to 26 April, celebrating this year’s theme: “Dream. Dare. Do.”
Cowra Youth Council will host a variety of activities, opportunities and events for young people throughout the week. And the best part, they're all FREE!
Youth Pilates
Wednesday 15 April, 3:30 PM @ Focus Pilates
Give your body some love with 45 mins of stretching and mobility. Work on flexibility and movement of the spine, mindfully connecting to your body and your breath.

Crochet Workshop
Thursday 16 April, 10:00 AM, with the Yarn Whisperers @ Cowra Library
The Cowra Youth Council invites you to a friendly morning of crochet at the Cowra Library. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this event is perfect for young people who want to spend some holiday time on a relaxing hobby.

MANGA Cosplayer Workshop

Join cosplayer Isobelle to learn how to make your own Neko ears! Onigiri and bubble tea provided by the Cowra Youth Council at the end of the class.

Scavenger Hunt
Friday 17 April, 1.30pm @ Cowra Adventure Playground
Are you up for the challenge? Solve the clues, find the QR codes, complete the mission and have fun exploring Cowra's Adventure Playground and Sculpture Park! Enjoy a free sausage sanga when you check-in from 1.30pm with the Hunt getting underway at 2. The Scavenger Hunt is best done with a friend or two, however Youth Councillors will be on hand to help anyone joining in on their own.
NB: Each pair/group will need access to a device with internet access and camera capability to complete the teen Hunt using an online web app. Children aged 8-12yrs with adult supervision are welcome to join in with a modified version of the Hunt using a paper version.

Cowra Stars Talent Show

Following its successful debut in 2025, Cowra Stars returns for 2026! Cowra Youth Council invites young people aged 12–24 to take part in Cowra Stars 2026, a special NSW Youth Week talent showcase celebrating incredible local talent — from singing, dancing, poetry, magic and more. Performers can compete for a share of $600 in prize money, awarded for Best Individual Performance, Best Group Performance, and People’s Choice.

Art Lab Workshop

In this Art Lab, join multidisciplinary artist Anna Madeleine Raupach and a group of like-minded peers in a cyanotype printing workshop inspired by the exhibition Olive Cotton and her contemporaries. This is a National Gallery Touring Exhibition presented as part of the Bowness Family Foundation Photography Touring Program.
