Bell Beats Returns to Cowra this October long Weekend
Big names. Local talent. Incredible food and wine. Family fun. Arts and culture. One unforgettable day.
In just 17 days, Cowra will come alive as the Bell Beats Music & Arts Festival returns on Saturday, 3 October, transforming the Cowra Civic Square Precinct into a vibrant free celebration of music, art, culture, food, and community.
After a hugely successful debut event, Bell Beats is back bigger and better for 2026, giving locals every reason to stay in Cowra for the October long weekend and experience this free community event. We also warmly invite visitors from across the region and beyond to experience everything that makes our community so special.
This year's theme, dhalbirra - Keep the Beat, celebrates connection through music, culture, and community, encouraging people of all ages to come together for a day filled with energy, creativity, and unforgettable moments.
From headline act Ben Lee and other exciting performers taking to the stage, to immersive cultural experiences, interactive art, family activities, and some of the best food and beverages our region has to offer, Bell Beats truly has something for everyone.
Festivalgoers can enjoy performances from an outstanding line-up of national and local artists, including:

Families are encouraged to make a day of it, with dedicated picnic spaces, a vibrant kids' zone, and plenty of opportunities to relax while children enjoy an afternoon of fun and entertainment.
Bell Beats also provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in culture and creativity, with experiences extending throughout the festival precinct and into some of Cowra's creative facilities including the Cowra Regional Art Gallery and the Cowra Civic Centre.
Whether you're dancing in front of the main stage, discovering your new favourite local artist, enjoying a glass of local wine with friends, or simply relaxing with family in the sunshine, Bell Beats offers an experience unlike anything else in the region.
The festival's continued growth has been made possible through the support of local businesses and sponsors who have rallied behind the event and its vision for Cowra.
Bell Beats received support through the Transport for NSW Open Streets Program, helping deliver the festival from 2025 to 2027.
"The response from our community, sponsors, artists, and audiences has been incredible. Bell Beats isn't just a music festival, it's a celebration of everything we love about Cowra. It's about supporting local talent, showcasing our region, and creating an experience that brings people together," said Mayor Paul Smith.
"Whether you're a local looking for an amazing day out or planning a road trip for the long weekend, Bell Beats is an event you won't want to miss," said Festival Coordinator, Jarrad Shiells.
With tickets going fast, organisers are reminding festivalgoers that tickets are free but essential.
