Cowra 2036 (Council’s draft Community Strategic Plan) is now on public exhibition until Friday 10th June 2022.

Cowra 2036 is a community-owned strategic plan and community input will drive what Council focuses on for the next 15 years. The public exhibition period provides a great opportunity for the community to play an active role in shaping the future of the Cowra Shire.

The key planning documents guiding Council’s daily activities, budget, and fees and charges are also on public exhibition. Community members are urged to view and comment on Council’s Draft Delivery Program 2022-2023 to 2025-2026, Operational Plan 2022-2023 and Long-Term Financial Plan 2022-2023 to 2031-2032 by Friday 10th June 2022.

These documents link the community’s long-term goals with Council’s plans, policies, services and resources. They are important because they show what we are doing to make the Cowra Shire a better place to live, work and visit.

If you feel passionately about the future of the Cowra Shire, now’s the time to have your say.

You can view Council’s draft planning documents below, or in the foyer of Cowra Shire Council, 116 Kendal Street, Cowra or at Cowra Library during office hours. Copies have also been sent to all of our Shire’s village associations and members of the Cowra Aboriginal Consultation Group.

All submissions must be made in writing to the General Manager, Cowra Shire Council, Private Bag 342, Cowra 2794 or via email to council@cowra.nsw.gov.au by 4pm, Friday 10th June 2022.
