Honouring the Service of Former Cowra Shire Councillor, Kevin Wright

Cowra Shire Council is saddened by the passing of former Councillor Kevin Wright, a respected colleague and proud member of the Cowra community.

Kevin served two terms on Cowra Shire Council, including throughout the extended and challenging COVID-19 period. He was widely regarded as a thoughtful, reliable, and community-minded Councillor who always acted with integrity and compassion.

Mayor Paul Smith spoke of the high regard in which Kevin was respected. 

“Kevin Wright was known as a good man and a dedicated Councillor,” said Mayor Paul Smith. “He served during a difficult time for local government, and his calm, measured approach and genuine care for the Cowra community left a lasting impression. On behalf of Cowra Shire Council, I extend our sincere condolences to Kevin’s family and friends.”

Cowra Shire Council joins the community in remembering Kevin Wright with deep respect and appreciation for his contribution and character.
