Please note that in line with the current stay-at-home orders in place for regional NSW, the MRF is only open to residents without kerbside pickup and those with essential or emergency waste. Visitors must wear a mask and scan in using the QR code. Both the Community Recycling Centre and the Cowra RDA Second Hand shop remain closed until further notice. Kerbside pick-up services are unchanged.
Cowra Council aims to safely collect, transport, and treat, all household waste in an efficient, cost-effective manner and to return all treated products back into the ecosystem in an ecologically-sustainable method.

Cowra Community Recycling Centre (CRC)
Cowra's CRC was officially opened in 2016 and is located at the MRF on Glen Logan Rd.
The facility is part of an emerging network of CRCs being built across NSW to make it easier for households to ensure their problem waste can be recycled or safely managed.
The Centre facilitates the collection of household problem wastes including batteries, fluorescent lamps, paints, smoke detectors, gas cylinders and oils.
The CRC works to improve Council's resource recovery operations that include e-waste, drumMuster, scrap metals, construction and demolition and garden wastes.
