Cowra Shire Council is proud to announce the Can Do Cowra CBD Workshop, set to take place at Club Cowra on Saturday, March 2, from 1pm to 4 pm. This pivotal event marks the beginning of an exciting journey toward the future rejuvenation and reactivation of the Cowra CBD.

At the forefront of this transformative endeavour will be representatives from Village Well, a renowned consultancy recognised for its innovative and inspiring approaches to community engagement and urban development. Village Well's expertise lies in facilitating collaborative processes, bringing together diverse individuals and groups to co-create authentic visions and implementable actions.

CBD Committee Chair, Sharon D'Elboux, expressed her enthusiasm for the workshop and its potential to empower local businesses in navigating the challenges of the regional marketplace. Can Do Cowra - Yellow Background.jpg

This community workshop will be vital to help formulate economic growth and future prosperity for our CBD. It will also give guidance on how to enhance the CBD's aesthetic appeal by creating a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike,” said Sharon.

"We've had a fantastic response from our local businesses and community to the CBD committee, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone for their participation. I am hopeful we can get a strong turn-out for the workshop in early March," said Cr D’Elboux.

She emphasised the importance of addressing the challenges of the CBD and retail businesses, not only in Cowra but across Australia.

Workshops like this are important and are aimed at stimulating local economic growth through space activation, place making and installing a can-do mindset by servicing the locals well with a strong retail offering. At the conclusion of the workshop we will have a future retail roadmap for Cowra,” said Sharon.

"Together, we will strive to create a thriving, attractive, and sustainable business hub that benefits the entire community," said Cr D’Elboux.

She underscored the crucial role of community input in shaping the committee's efforts and expressed confidence in Cowra's potential for business growth and expansion.

"There truly is a bright future here in Cowra for business, and I have no doubt we can activate and grow the potential in our CBD!"

Don't miss this opportunity to be part of Cowra's exciting journey toward revitalisation. Join us at Club Cowra Workshop on March 2 and help contribute to shaping the future needs of our retail community.
